As the ATS Administration Assistant, you will provide effective and efficient delivery of office coordination to the Director of Operations for Airspace North and the Centre Manager.



The Organisation

Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.



The Role

The ATS Administration Assistant will be accountable for the development and maintenance of administration activities and processes associated within the Brisbane Centre. You will will work closely with all members of the management team to ensure that there is a consistent approach and purpose in all work undertaken to achieve business excellence.



The Person

You will have a basic understanding of business process improvement practices, with the ability to work effectively under limited supervision and manage competing priorities and timeframes and an understanding of the operation of e-procurement systems. Communication skills having demonstrated a varied vocabulary and tailoring your language to your audience, listen effectively, present your ideas appropriately, communicated clearly and concisely, and work well in a small group.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, set and review priorities, meet deadlines and work
  • effectively while remaining flexible to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, monitor, coordinate, schedule and project manages a range of business initiatives and strategies to support continuous improvement within operations support.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, liaison and communication skills, including the ability to develop, influence and maintain effective working relationships at a range of levels.
  • Advanced level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and ORBIT/SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of complex reports and performing business administration activities.


  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in administration /commerce or business highly regarded



Security Clearance

  • To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian citizen as an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is required for this role.
