About the Role
High level organisational skills with the ability to manage heavy workloads, competing priorities and the ability to meet deadlines in a constant changing environment. Demonstrated effective team member skills within a multi-disciplinary team showing initiative in problem solving and an ability to review, develop and implement improvements in conjunction with the team whilst working autonomously, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers to resolution of conflict, meet deadlines, readjust daily work priorities to meet a changing work environment.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude to interact effectively and negotiate successfully with all levels of staff and the public, demonstrating tact, diplomacy and confidentiality at all times within established guidelines.
Capacity to perform the daily operational activities of the Cancer Care service to a high standard which may consist of but not restricted to, accurate appointment scheduling and admissions, referral and appointment management, billing for services and other general reception/administrative duties as directed.
Liaise with patients and their representatives, referring practitioners, and any person to whom or from whom service is provided or received, providing accurate, speedy advice and support to all enquiries and queries following through to completion.
