About the role
With eight sugarcane stations along the east coast of QLD and NSW, SRA undertakes extensive field trial programs as part of its sugarcane research projects.
The Administration Officer position provides office and site support services by implementing administrative systems, policies and procedures. The purpose of the role is to assist in the seamless running of the Ingham Station.
Where SRA utilises global systems, support may be for the whole of the SRA footprint and not confined to a geographical location. Duties for Administration Officer roles may vary by site according to requirements.
This position reports to the Head of People and Culture and also works closely with site leaders and the Head of Assets & Facilities to ensure that stakeholder requirements are understood and met.
You will be responsible for a variety of functions, including but not limited to:
Arranging Facility maintenance and management
Safety and contractor administration management
Procurement of supplies
Human Resources support
This role entails dealing with a diverse group of individuals both internally and externally, from property service contractors to scientists and researchers to Farm Operations and corporate services.
This is a part-time role for 4 - 5 days a week, approximately 4 hours per day, to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
As a mid-level administrator, you will hold the highest of standards for customer service and attention to detail. The team you will be supporting are busy and passionate about the work they do. It is critical that you portray a friendly, professional demeanour and are willing to go above and beyond to assist wherever you can.
You will have demonstrated administration skills involving fleet, budget and facilities management, you will be tech savvy - with advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and asset management systems. You must have considerable flexibility, adaptability, sound judgement, decision making skills and interpersonal skills. You will be able to negotiate with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally and have great influencing skills.
A Diploma or higher level qualification in either Business Management, Financial Management or Project Management is essential. A qualification in Workplace Health, Safety and Environment is highly desirable.
