Administration Support Officer - Contract Employment

35 hours per week

Meerilinga Young Childrens Foundation Inc. trading as Meerilinga Training College (RTO 6000) is a not-for-profit organisation offering nationally recognised training and assessment and professional development services.

Located at our head office in West Leederville, we are seeking a dynamic, motivated experienced Administration Officer to join our Education services team. Reporting to the Integrated Education Advisor, this position requires initiative, a commitment to excellence, strong analytical and problem solving capabilities and the ability to work within a team environment.

There are a broad range of tasks and duties for this position including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Providing accurate and timely administrative and support services to Meerilinga Training College.
  • Operating a range of computer-based applications, including word processing, spreadsheet and database software
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records, in accordance with policies and procedures.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven strong administrative skills, with attention to detail, including proficiency in using a range of software applications: including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and databases.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage workloads and identify when to reschedule and reorganise work to reflect changes in priority.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties responsibly under limited supervision to ensure the achievement of team goals.
  • An understanding of the VET sector is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated resilience to overcome obstacles and solve problems.
  • Ideally like the idea of working in a not-for-profit organisation where you can attach greater meaning to the work you do
