About the Role

You will deliver efficient and organised reception and administrative support including around triage and screening of referrals to the Social Work Department. Your professional skills and knowledge together with your flexible approach, strengths in organised office systems and proficient use of all Microsoft platforms will be appreciated and held in high regard.

 

This role includes:

  • Reception Duties - managing internal and external communication with the Social Work Department
  • Administrative Duties - including ensuring that efficient office systems are developed and maintained, undertaking data entry and analysis, management of petty cash, accounts payable and receivable and stock ordering
  • Patient Care - includes activities that contribute to supporting patient care; including intake, triage and facilitating referrals, in collaboration with SW clinical staff, seniors and Chief Social Worker. Assistance with material aid requests and referrals to community services.


The classification for this position is HS1 ($58,442 per annum).

Your Contribution

  • Experience working in a reception setting
  • Experience performing a wide range of administrative duties
  • Relevant studies such as:
  • Business or administration certificate or qualification
  • A qualification as an Allied Health Assistant
  • Any other relevant transferrable experience
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Social Work Department Name
The Social Work Department (SWD) is situated in the directorate of Allied Health and Community Services and reports to the Group Manager, Allied Health and Pharmacy. The Department, is comprised of three clinical teams: Acute, Sub Acute inpatient care and Cancer and Chronic Illness. In addition the Department oversees the Safer Communities and Equitable Health Program (SC&EH).
