About the role

Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract (possibility to continue)

Remuneration: $89,670 base (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Location: Port Macquarie campus, NSW

Requirements: Full working rights will be required for the duration of the contract

UNSW Medicine and Health is a national leader in learning, teaching and research, with close affiliations to several of Australia’s finest hospitals, research institutes and health care organisations. With a strong presence at UNSW Kensington campus, the faculty have staff and students in teaching hospitals in Sydney as well as regional and rural areas of NSW including Albury/Wodonga, Coffs Harbour, Griffith, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga.

The Rural Clinical School, Administrative Officer, School Services provides high level administrative and logistical support to the School Manager and Head of School and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of several key strategies, programs, and projects.

The role provides professional support, expertise, and guidance within the School Services team on school administrative operations in areas such as policy, process and systems, HR, procurement, school building and estate management, assets, WH&S, governance, audit, and compliance. Ensuring professional and productive working relationships are developed and maintained with internal and external stakeholders across the breadth of school operations is key requirement of the role.

The role of Administrative Officer, School Services reports to the School Manager and supervises a team of up to three direct reports.

Who are you

To be successful in this role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent level of knowledge and competence gained through another combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Solution focused with demonstrated supervision, negotiation and consultation expertise, a strong networking capability and well-developed skills in conflict resolution.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated leadership working with multiple stakeholders and developing partnerships and professional relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
