The CHS Division of Medicine provides a range of medical specialties and allied health services. The Division works in partnership with professional colleagues, consumers, and a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

The Renal Service provides comprehensive clinical care, including dialysis and post-transplant care for patients with kidney diseases using a multidisciplinary approach incorporating community and allied health services.

Under general direction this position provides administrative support to the Renal service and its staff, including booking and scheduling patient appointments, inpatient admission and discharge, billing of services rendered and patient record management whilst providing a high level of customer service.


 

DUTIES

Under limited direction of the Renal Office Manager you will provide administrative support to the Renal service and its staff, including booking and scheduling patient appointments, inpatient admission and discharge, billing of services rendered and patient record management whilst providing a high level of customer service. You will:

  • Provide administration support to the Renal Services including, but not limited to maintaining appointments, co-ordinate meetings (including video conferencing), screen telephone calls, filing, scanning, data entry, stationary orders, travel arrangements and draft minor correspondences as required.
  • Provide admission, discharge and inpatient movement services in the Patient Administration System as required
  • Assist in the set up and coordination of clinics in the Patient Administration System if required and as directed.
  • Maintain appropriate records and input information into databases and IT systems relevant to the unit
  • Provide project support to the Renal Network and Renal Services.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

The successful applicant will need to be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work, with access to flex time

Have an understanding of how the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in alignment to the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.


 

Prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
