Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Personal Assistant/Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Head of Infrastructure & Assets, and a range of branch administrative support services to SAPOL’s Physical Assets Service Branch - at SAPOL’s Adelaide CBD Police Headquarters.

The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who enjoys an active work environment, is timely with good attention to detail, and communicate well with staff and managers at all levels. Key duties include provision of confidential personal assistant support to the Head of Infrastructure & Assets, coordination of a range of branch activities, effective document tracking and file movement management across the branch, maintaining databases and processing invoices, administrative support for human resource management and a range of professional administrative support services to the Managers and the wider Branch as required.

The Physical Assets Service Branch is comprised of five units with around 65 FTE: Capital Strategy & Projects Unit, Contracts & Impound Unit, Strategic Operations: Fleet & Property Section, Facilities Management Unit, and Business Management Unit. The Branch is responsible for supporting SAPOL’s operations across the statewide portfolio, including Strategic Infrastructure planning, Capital Project delivery, Asset and Facility management, Accommodation portfolio management, Fleet operations supporting passenger and operational fleet, Exhibit Property management, Contract Management, which includes personal issue assets and Uniforms, management of SAPOL Impound sites, and Echunga Training Reserve.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • Incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • May be required to work out of hours or overtime.
  • Some out of hours and intrastate travel may be required including overnight accommodation.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s Individual Performance Management program.

ASO2 $55,315 - $59,503 per annum.
