The Team
The Business Manager, Global Education Network, International Education, is a key member of the International Education branch's Market Development and Global Education Network team, responsible for the smooth functioning of the Global Education Network (GEN) and offshore Study Melbourne Hubs.
The Market Development and GEN team supports the department's overseas network of 19 Education Services Managers (ESMs), Consultants and Study Melbourne Hub Coordinators, based across or managed by Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) Offices, and Study Melbourne Hubs established in five offshore locations.
The Role
The Business Manager reports to the Manager of the Market Development and GEN team and will work with the team to provide business and operational support for the Global Education Network (GEN) and Study Melbourne Hubs, including development and coordination of advice related to all aspects of hub operations and functions relevant to country specific and Victorian Government requirements.

The Candidate
The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the group. They will have excellent communication skills, a background in business management, good working knowledge of corporate policies and processes, and an ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in government and/or an understanding of the global context for international education is desirable.
