About the Role
In this role you will be working in the Community and Recreation team to administer a range of community and recreational facilities, services and opportunities. You will work with community and recreation groups, their committees, agencies and Council staff to develop and enhance community and recreation resources to meet the needs of all users, in accordance with Council’s strategic directions and regulatory requirements
In this position, will work across Council departments to develop and deliver services based on a sound governance framework to ensure equity, transparency and financial stability for Council and the community is maintained. You will encourage and actively promote the involvement of communities in existing and new facilities. Be the first point of contact for community and recreation groups and engage in regular formal and informal consultation with the community and other areas of Council to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of facilities and procedures.
This is a permanent part time opportunity working 38 hours a fortnight. This role oversees the operations of and is located in our Armstrong Creek East Community Hub. You will also be responsible for our Leopold Community Hub.
To be successful in this role, you will hold qualifications in Social Sciences, Community Development or a Recreation related discipline and/or relevant work experience in the field.
