How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…

The Community Sport and Recreation Officer position aims to support the delivery of community sport and recreation services in City of Melbourne, and we’re looking for the ultimate team player.

You can bring

  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
  • Experience working in, or with diverse communities, people, organisations and partners.
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as health and fitness, leisure, recreation, project management or business or a similar field and/or significant experience and proven achievement in working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Your ability to connect with people and passion for our goal to provide more socially and physically inclusive and safe spaces to increase community sport participation across all sectors of the community.
  • Strong influencing and verbal communication skills including proven ability to drive positive outcomes.
  • Established analytical and conceptual skills, and demonstrated experience in solving complex problems within short time frames.
  • Well developed written communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and submissions.

By joining us, you will become part of a remarkable team who work in a constructive and inclusive culture to shape the future of this city. Together, we champion difference, celebrate achievement and recognise positive impact.
