The Role:

A key role in Procedural Services, you will be responsible for co-ordinating, tracking and monitoring all sets that come into St Andrews from either loan companies or surgeon’s personal instruments. You’ll build strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders important to your role, and provide a compliant and efficient service on behalf of the hospital.

As a member of the Sterilisation Services team, you will carry out range of diverse accountabilities including:

  • Coordinating with loan companies, sales representatives, surgeon’s and our theatres to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery, distribution and collection of loans sets in line with theatre lists pre and post procedure.
  • Registration and compliance of loan sets against hospital procedures and protocols
  • Oversight of fast-tracked loan sets for same-day emergency procedures
  • Manual or Magellan check-ins of all implants
  • Process and quality improvements in Loan Sets service delivery

You’ll present with:

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation
  • Comprehensive understanding of Current Sterilisation Standards
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sterilisation Services
  • Good computer literacy as well as proficiency in ScanCare Instrument Management System and Magellan RFID scanning system
  • Excellent time-management and coordination skills with a strong focus on customer service and effective communication
