This opportunity within Risk and Procurement will enable the successful individual to create and embed Risk and Procurement practices within a professional corporate structure in the Education sector.

Working under limited direction, and with a degree of autonomy, the Risk & Procurement Lead is responsible for planning and coordinating sourcing and contract management activities on behalf of the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) to ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes and risks are appropriately managed throughout the procurement process. The position is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the SATAC enterprise-wide risk framework.

To be successful you will need:

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, with a high-level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks, implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
  • Proven ability to schedule and coordinate procurement projects and programs including the ability to develop acquisition plans, tender packages, specifications and evaluation criteria within legislative guidelines with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating a whole of organisation risk profile and strategy.
  • Ability to assess business requirements, research, analyse, evaluate and apply information to support procurement operations.

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) Limited provides reliable, efficient and innovative tertiary admissions services to its member institutions and on a fee for service basis to other tertiary education institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and participating fee for service institutions, as well as administering admissions aptitude tests, providing publication and research services, and acting as a one-stop shop for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
