Working within the Office of Student Records team, this role supports the maintenance, accuracy and integrity of all student records and data to meet regulatory and compliance requirements for issuance of course completion documentation, reporting of Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) debts and other legislative data reporting.

Key responsibilities and activities of this role include:

  • Assessing and processing applications for FEE-HELP loans in compliance with legislation.
  • Processing and recording State-specific Working with Children (WWC) applications and monitor WWC expiry.
  • Processing eligibility to Graduate requests and timely production of all student completion documentation, including Academic Transcripts, Testamurs and Competency Statements.
  • Processing and receipting fees remission applications in compliance with policy and legislation.
  • Processing record updates, and identifying and rectifying errors in student records.
  • Identifying and assisting in the provision of solutions to complex student related issues.
  • Providing advice and support to the Student Services, Sales and Admissions, Timetabling and Course Progression teams around course requirements and course updates including pre and co-requisite requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the National Student Records Coordinator and the Director, Student Services and Retention in all areas pertaining to student administration and records including quality data audit checks.

This is a permanent, full time role and can be based at our Brisbane or Gold Coast campuses. We are aiming for a start date of early January 2022.

Your strong attention to detail allows you to continually produce work with a high level of accuracy. With your administrative experience, you understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection and safe record keeping.

The following skills and experience will support your success in this role:

  • Knowledge of the Australian tertiary education sector is desirable.
  • Experience using Higher Education / Vocational Education and Training administrative systems, procedures and practices, or the ability to rapidly gain knowledge.
  • Experience reading, interpreting and applying policies and legislation in relation to own areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to understand and confidently convey information that needs careful explanation or interpretation e.g. procedures or regulations.
  • Ability to solve problems or liaise with others to develop solutions and to exercise sound judgement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
