About the Opportunity:
With such exciting growth and development within the Education system, a new, permanent position has been established within the Directorate of Procurement and Transport for a Manager of Systems and Performance.
The Manager of Systems and Performance will identify and develop new, state of the art systems to support the overall Procurement Directorate during an exciting growth phase. Utilising an excellent understanding of Procurement processes, the Manager of Systems and Performance will be instrumental in the communication between key stakeholders and the Department. Combining personnel management and exceptional data management, this role plays a key part in the digitisation of the Procurement process.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A detailed understanding of Procurement Systems and procedures
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining data management systems
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to convert large volumes of data into clear and concise reports for inter-Departmental purposes
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in IT or procurement-related qualifications are desirable
  • Experience developing new solutions for complex reporting requirements and that will satisfy future procurement plans

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years.

Please note to be employed by the department in any role, applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption endorsed by the Chief Public Health Officer (or delegate). Proof of vaccination status must be provided for sighting on request.
