The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) was established to ensure Victoria's strong economic performance by growing industries and regions. The Department supports a range of diverse portfolios and operates across metropolitan, regional and international offices.

There are multiple positions available for talented Team Leaders in the Delivery Group within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.

The Delivery Group supports the effective and efficient delivery of high priority departmental projects and grant programs, from program design and sequencing, through to development, delivery, monitoring and program close. In so doing, the Delivery Group ensures the delivery of programs that are critical to the Victorian community and economy.

As a Team Leader, you will work within the Delivery Group which supports the effective and efficient delivery of high priority departmental projects and grant programs that are critical to the Victorian community and economy.

The position will be responsible for leading, monitoring and supervising a team to support the effective delivery of a range of departmental programs and projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strong leadership to team members and aid their development to ensure necessary skills and capability exists to deliver required outcomes.
  • Identify and set clear team goals and evaluate success, identifying issues and implementing solutions as required.
  • Demonstrate collaborative and adaptive leadership to foster a high-performing culture.
  • Organise team initiatives and encourage clear communication with the team ensuring project resources are available to all team members.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading a team to sucessfully achieve required outcomes. The ability to build positive, professional relationships is essential, with highly-developed written and verbal communciation skills mandatory. A knowledge of regulatory and legislative reform processes within a government context would be desirable.
