As the Technical Officer – Culinary Arts and Hospitality, you are primarily responsible for maintaining the technical resources of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality kitchen and training areas to ensure they remain clean and orderly as well as supporting lecturers and students to meet the operational requirements. Your duties will include sourcing and preparing materials required for student practical lessons, providing technical assistance and support, participating in general administration. A commitment to continuous improvement will be critical to developing initiatives to enhance overall performance within the stores area and maintaining hygiene and sanitation.
Ideally, you will have demonstrated experienced working in a commercial food environment with specific knowledge of commercial cleaning and sanitation, food production, purchasing, inventory control and be comfortable processing financial transactions. Completion of a Certificate III in a related area will be highly regarded.
The ability to undertake physical and manual work, and flexibility with working hours is essential.
