About the role

As a Technical Officer within the College of Vocational Education, you will be responsible for providing technical support/maintenance to the spaces used by staff, students and business partners to achieve teaching, learning and commercial outcomes for the Engineering and Refrigeration programs.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven practical knowledge and hands on experience within refrigeration/fitting and turning and engineering;
  • Strong practical skills with experience with a wide range of tools.
  • Specific knowledge or experience in working in science labs, tech labs, trade labs or studios will be advantageous.
  • Excellent time management skills, with good analytical skills and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;

Qualifications

  • Refrigeration license and/or fitting and turning experience.
  • Relevant training/education and/or work experience.
