The Unit Security Officer (USO) will be responsible for physical security and is to ensure the entity fully integrates protective security in the process of planning, selecting, designing, and modifying its facilities for the protection of people, information and physical assets; In areas where sensitive or security classified information and assets are used, transmitted, stored or discussed, certify its facility's physical security zones are in accordance with the applicable ASIO Technical Notes, and accredit its security zones.
The Role:
The above will not all be utilized through day-to-day operations, however a broad understanding and capability to undertake these functions as required is essential. You will perform a key role in delivering security to meet our Federal Government Security requirements. Among other responsibilities this includes managing security guarding / guarding supplier service delivery and performance, security incident response, maintaining audit readiness, systems, process and procedure implementation, and site selection/assessment.
