Provision of quality administrative and customer service support in accordance with Regional
Council corporate plans and policies and relevant legislation.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provision of customer services to internal and external customers and clients including;
o Telephone, email and face to face transactions.
o Communication of department requirements and processes.
o Ensuring office and workspaces are professionally presented at all times.
Provision of administrative services to staff within the Department including;
o General administrative support and general enquiries, resolve basic issues and
o Basic administration services, including word processing, and spreadsheets.
o Data Entry including documents, spreadsheets and department specific programs.
o Provision of a range of support services for facilities and contracts, these are location
specific and can include tasks at level such as cleaning of visitor accommodation and
provision of basic Centrelink and Australia Post services.
Ensure safety for yourself and others in the workplace, engage in an effective and proactive
health, safety and wellbeing culture.
Any other reasonable duties delegated by the Supervisor which are within level.
Demonstrated understanding of administrative skills in an office environment.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide routine advice and
resolve basic issues.
Demonstrated literacy, numeracy and computer keyboard skills.
Demonstrated good customer service and cross-cultural communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use judgement to resolve routine workplace issues.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements.
An awareness of issues affecting Aboriginal people in remote locations.
Qualifications equivalent to a Cert II or Cert III in a related discipline.
