You will be working alongside the Clinical Program directors for Critical care, a network role that may involve working across the two sites for the Sydney Children's Hospital Network.

What you'll be doing

Supports and provides administrative assistance to the Clinical Program Director and Clinical Program Directorate. Services are provided in communication and customer service, office management, travel & conferences and specific functions related to the Clinical Program Director’s portfolio.

The Administrative Assistant will:
  • Ensure office management systems are in place for effective and efficient delivery of the service
  • Present and maintain a professional work area at all times
  • Keep track of any matters with deadlines/closing dates, organise and prioritise workflow for timely completion
  • Establish and maintain open communication strategies to ensure key stakeholders have accurate and necessary information
  • Ensure office equipment functions effectively and report equipment failures promptly
  • Assist in the preparation of communications as required on behalf of the Program
  • Management of the electronic record keeping system (TRIM)
The Administration Assistant will work closely with other Clinical Program Administrative Assistants and from time to time be delegated work within the scope of their role.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high level support services to Executive staff.

  • Demonstrated exceptional office management and organizational skills.

  • Highly developed communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to interact with people at all levels within the organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and use sound judgment and work collaboratively and as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a workload, prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated initiative and problem solving ability.

  • Proficient use of equipment and software relevant to the role
