Your Opportunity

The Area Manager is responsible for the leadership across a number of key services across the Greater Darwin region. The role oversees the performance of operations, contract administration, workforce planning, finance and resource management across a variety of programs within the AoD, Homelessness and Youth Services. This position represents Mission Australia within a number of forums, building and maintaining a presence with government agencies, funding bodies, corporate stakeholders, service providers, community groups and service users.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Represent Mission Australia in the area and build a presence with area based government
  • Lead service delivery teams and responsibility for coaching and development
  • Support Regional Leader in contract negotiations
  • Build and maintain external relationships with government, funder and corporate stakeholders
  • Work with other Mission Australia teams to drive continuous improvement in the area

Requirements for success:

  • Experience leading teams across multiple service offerings in defined geographical area
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business outcomes on time and within budget
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in people management and professional development of others
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated interest in community and social outcomes
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role
  • Tertiary Qualifications
  • Evidence of full Covid 19 vaccination
