This is a great opportunity to join one of Tasmania’s largest councils and contribute to the further sustainable development of the City of Clarence whilst consolidating your learning and technical experiences.

You will be responsible for assisting in a range of tasks, including: responding to requests and queries from customers; delivery of public and environmental health programs; sampling of waters and food; assisting in regard to our immunisation program; and investigation of complaints.

The role will suit a student working to complete an Environmental Health qualification. We offer excellent work conditions and the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of the business. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environmental whilst managing your own workload.

The applicant must be enrolled or eligible to enrol in a course of study that meets the Approved Qualifications requirements of the Director of Public Health for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer under the Public Health Act 1997 and an Authorised Officer under the Food Act 2003.

A salary range between $56,788 and $59,672 will be negotiated with the successful applicant plus 10% superannuation and a 19-day month.
