Casual Swimming Instructor

We are seeking casual staff to interact and teach water safety and swimming strokes to children and adults ensuring that they are aware of technique, skill level and progress. You must maintain order, control and ensure appropriate behaviour of class participants with particular attention to safety. Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment of high-level customer service satisfaction.

It is essential for the successful applicant to:

• Hold current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification
• Hold current Apply First Aid certification
• Current Department of Human Services Child Related Employment Screening clearance
• Be available to work a minimum of two to three shifts a week inclusive of one weekend shift

It is desirable to have:

• The ability to work across multiple areas at the centre
• Hold Current Pool Lifeguard Award certification
• Group Fitness Certification (Aqua-aerobics, Yoga, Personal Training)
• Food handling and safety certification
• Mandatory notification training

This position is being offered as a casual position with a starting hourly rate of $37.05
