Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Clinical Coder to join our team!


 

Do you have recognized coding qualifications and have experience in using ICD-10-AM/ACHI classification system, Australian Coding Standards (ACS) and the 3M Encoder to classify diagnoses and procedures as part of the coding process?


 

If so, come and join our cohesive and dynamic team of experienced clinical coders, where you will have the opportunity to further develop your coding skills in a supportive environment.


 

Coders who have demonstrated ability to meet SLHD benchmarks for coding quality and throughput, may have the opportunity to avail the privilege of working from home in some capacity.


 

The RPA Performance Monitoring Coding and Casemix Unit is responsible for providing accurate, timely and complete classification of diagnoses and procedures for the NSW Ministry of Health inpatient coding morbidity submission deadlines.


 

The Clinical Coder will also undertake functions relating to coding, grouping and data quality by analysing the Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) in the final stages of coding to ensure the DRG is appropriate for the patients complexity.


 

The Clinical Coder will be proactive in their continued learning and professional development, and participate in the SLHD Coder Competency Framework and internal development programs to ensure a high standard of coding quality.
