About the Role...
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Library Services team for a passionate and community-focused individual to take on the role of Children Services Officer.
Reporting to the Manager Library Services, this key role assists in the provision of a Library Service that meets the information, educational, recreational, language and literacy needs of the community. Importantly, it also supports and delivers an effective education program for early childhood, school age and youth in the City of Playford area.
The role is offered full time (76 hours per fortnight), ongoing.
Plan, develop and deliver programming for Children’s library activities including, but not limited to;

Ideally, the successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in Education (Early Childhood/Primary) or a relevant field and/or demonstrated equivalent experience, with a thorough understanding of literacy principles as they relate to children, school age or youth.
