GenesisCare Sleep and Respiratory QLD is seeking a passionate Medical Administration Officer to support the functioning of a busy medical practice based in River City Private Hospital, Brisbane on a permanent part-time basis working 5 days a week, 6 hours a day.
A Medical Administration Officer provides administration support for all scientific and medical aspects of Genesis SleepCare, and other general administration duties as required. The role is responsible for the timely typing, proofreading and sending of medical letters and sleep study reports, ensuring medical correspondence with referrers and SleepCare doctors is delivered on time as expected. The role also provides general administration support to the leadership team and practices as required
What you’ll do:
Ensure sleep study reports are proof read, compiled and presented correctly and sent to referrers in a timely manner using an appropriate communication method (eg Medical Objects)
Ensure all systems are up to date regarding report status, billing information and actions required
Assist in the measurement of efficiency of the Sleep Scientist team as required
Provide administrative support to the scientist team as required
Scanning and uploading sleep study documents to relevant software programs
Produce accurate and timely typed letter and reports for Sleep Care physicians
Proofread, print and send clinical letters on behalf of Sleep Care physicians
Who you are:
Proficient in touch typing and transcription in both speed and accuracy.
Advanced understanding of English sentence structure, grammar and spelling.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proven administrative, organisational and time management skills, preferably in healthcare
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect errors and quickly make corrections
Familiarity with common medical platforms (ie Practix, Medical Objects, Medical Director etc).
Demonstrated reliability and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Experience in typing of medical/technical letters
Occasional travel to other sites
