The Bureau's National Security and Space Program provides space weather alerts and warnings to sectors integral to Australia's national security and economic prosperity, and community safety through government partners and key industry sectors to ensure they have the right information at the right time, to deliver on their goals.
The National Manager Space and Space Weather Engagement will lead the Bureau's engagement with the burgeoning Australian space industry and motivate a team of Space Weather Engagement Leads to build relationships and work to create warnings and alerts across key sectors of Defence, aviation, telecommunications, energy, resources, community and the space industry sector. The measure of success is ensuring these sectors are prepared to mitigate the effects of a space weather event on their sector through the use of timely, accurate, persistent and consistent space weather warnings and alerts from the Australian Space Weather Forecasting Centre.
As the National Manager Space and Space Weather Engagement you will be self-motivated, have a positive and creative outlook with proven engagement and strong leadership skills. You will set the strategic direction of the Bureau's support to our key sectors in space and space weather so they can achieve their goals.
