South Pole works with a large number of prestigious corporate and public sector clients to support them in their sustainability journey. To support our Australian office and our global team, we are currently looking for an Office Administrator/Accounts Assistant.
As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Australian office, work to ensure timely and accurate management of financial resources, administrative processes and office logistics.
As the Accounts Assistant reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full day-to-day accounts function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, reporting and payment runs.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Office Management - 40%
Facilitate local administration and ad hoc administrative support
Update and maintain office policies and procedures
Liaise with suppliers and providers to ensure efficient office operations
Assist with completing sales admin and tender responses
Organise local events/activities in the office as requested by colleagues
Accounting Assistant - 60%
Accounts receivable, accounts payable and day-to-day transactional work
Preparation of weekly payment runs
Assist in month end reporting to HQ in Zurich, Switzerland
Expenses management globally (includes performance of global expenses checks, weekly Rydoo export of expenses).
Experience in accounting and support functions.
A good knowledge of standard accounting and reconciliation processes.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Clear and effective communication.
Confident to work autonomously to achieve results within deadlines.
Microsoft excel skills to an intermediate level.
