Provide coaching for identified students within an identified course area in line with your own education and professional experience.
We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin, we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take.
As a Student Success Coach, you will be responsible for providing cohort, small group and one-to-one coaching activities for specified students within an identified course area in line with your own education and professional experience. You will coach a cohort of commencing students, supporting them to successfully navigate the university landscape, identify and articulate their goals and aspirations and build their employability skills. You will hold recent industry experience in an area related to the students’ course and will develop an in-depth knowledge of the students’ units and course so that you can provide them with targeted and contemporary guidance and advice.
Completion of a degree and a minimum of three years’ experience in a professional role in a relevant discipline area (nursing, education, psychology or legal practice) will support your application as will up-to-date knowledge of higher education courses, including the challenges and opportunities of studying online and an awareness of career management and employability skills.
