The Design and Production team operates as the Bureau’s in-house creative agency delivering graphic design and video production. The team manages the Bureau’s communications channels, ensuring our content is engaging, accessible and aligned to our visual brand and corporate narrative.

Working closely with a team of digital and creative professionals and the media team, you will be responsible for scripting, designing filming, editing and full post-production of videos that will engage our internal and external audiences for multiple channels. You will work with the team to identify the best way to share the information the community needs on any given day.

As a technical expert with experience with live TV broadcast production and camera operation, you will possess a natural ability to get the best from talent. When things go wrong, you know how to trouble shoot and have contingency plans ready to action if needed.

The media team operates on a roster system to ensure we can provide more coverage in the 24/7 news cycle. You will be required to work outside of standard hours.

To be suitable for this role, you will have:

  • Professional level specialist, professional and/or technical expertise in journalism, film making, with around six years’ experience in the discipline.
  • A directly related qualification in media production or journalism would be highly regarded.
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and animation software such as Blender.
  • Confidence using a variety of broadcast quality camera equipment and ability to learn operational software.
