The Climate and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for internal and external stakeholder management to understand, identify, influence, and drive a Sustainability Framework, implement the Decarbonisation strategy and present Regulatory Reporting and internal reports to Executive level.

The role will require strong project management and technical subject matter expertise in Climate and Sustainability to identify and assist in evaluating technology that reduces emissions in hard to abate sectors including low carbon fuels, renewable electricity, CCU, CCS etc.

As a business we are supportive of flexibility, we will also consider full time and part time contractThis role can be based in any of the below cities,

  • Adelaide
  • Sydney
  • Perth
  • Brisbane

This is a Fixed Term Maternity Contract, 9 to 12 month flexible depending on successful candidate preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Be a driving factor of projects and the Net Zero Roadmap
  • Manage and adapt the current Sustainability Framework across the business
  • Support internal and external sustainability actions and initiatives
  • Governance and management reporting on emissions
  • Manage a team of 2 employees

What you will need to succeed

  • Relevant Engineering / Science / Sustainability qualification/s
  • Project Management qualification or demonstrated experience managing climate and sustainability projects (small to large) in a manufacturing/ industrial / construction / oil and gas/ mining industries
  • Experience in change management, internal communications
  • Experience working with Decarbonisation
  • Strong people management
  • Strong experience in building internal and external relationships
  • Strong understanding of carbon emissions and abatement options
