The Waratah Clinic Front of House function aims to provide a consumer-focused and professional role where visitors are welcomed and helped to feel at ease at what can be a stressful time for them.

It is important that the consumer and/or carer feel listened to and are proactively supported. This can involve emotional support, feeling cared for and helped.
Your new role:
The Administration Officer position is based at Inner West Waratah Clinic in Moonee Ponds. The successful applicant will perform the following administrative duties to support the mental health teams which work across the hospital.
The role of the Administrative Officer is based at our Inner West Waratah Clinic in Moonee Ponds delivering a professional and caring customer focussed service.
Often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors, this role will involve face to face contact reception duties, switchboard, varies administration and data entry, as well as liaising with clinical, medical and staff, clients, families and carers.
- Work on a busy switchboard and front of house reception where you will also meet and greet consumer, carers and staff
- Provide a high level of administration support to all staff across all programs
- Operate and maintain computerised health information systems
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Provide administrative support to ensure the organisation meets statutory reporting obligations under the Mental Health Act 2014
About you:
- Motivated and have a passion for caring and making a genuine difference in the lives of public mental health consumers and their family members
- Experience working as part of a dynamic team and capable of contributing positively to the teams well-being
- Provide reception and front of house administration support for the unit. Responding to any phone, email or in-person queries in a helpful and welcoming manner in line with Melbourne Health Values
- Confident in working both collaboratively and autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise clearly and effectively with stakeholders
- Superior attention to detail
- A solution-focused can do attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting demands and timelines
- Excellent administration skills including data entry and attention to detail
