We offer staff access to a large catalogue of professional development courses and assistance for external study, mentoring and access to the department’s Professional Coaching Scheme, and flexible working arrangements where appropriate.
A little bit about our division
The division is responsible for shaping the policy delivery and shareholder oversight of two of Australia’s most important and highest profile multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects, Inland Rail and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI).
These projects are being delivered by Government Business Enterprises (GBEs) Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) and Western Sydney Airport Co (WSA) respectively. Inland Rail will transform the way freight is moved around the country as part of a broader integrated network of roads, rail, air and sea while WSA will further connect regional Australia to national and international markets.
The division also provides oversight and management of several other key initiatives including Grade Separating Interface with Transport for New South Wales and other ARTC grant funded projects such as the Port Botany Rail Line Duplication, Narrabri to Turrawan Line Upgrade, Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities and the Advanced Train Management System.
These projects align with other initiatives being delivered across the department which improve rail infrastructure, benefitting both freight and passenger movements.
The work is interesting, rewarding and at times fast-paced, giving staff opportunities to contribute their diverse skills, experiences and knowledge to transformational and high-profile projects.
We are committed to being agile, adaptive and professional public servants. We value curious thinkers who have growth mindsets and who want to make meaningful contributions to the work of the division, and are keen for opportunities for ongoing development supported by strong leaders.
