About the role

This position be responsible for providing support referrals and, where specialist agencies are unable to help, provide short-term casework support. The Complex Caseworker will provide casework support to migrants in transition who access the pilot program and require further support.

What you will bring

  • Proven ability to provide high quality casework support and complex case management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary family issues including family and domestic violence; the physical, emotional, psychological and behaviour impact of trauma and abuse; homelessness; child protection; poverty; mental health; AOD and knowledge of support services available to address these issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs, including conducting family violence risk assessments, and developing effective case plans and safety planning.
  • Working with Children and Driver’s License required

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Hourly rate $39.26316 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
