The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Coordinator to join the Cargill Agriculture Supply Chain (CASC) team based in Derrimut . In this autonomous role, you will coordinate & conduct laboratory actions on our grain samples, and cross check and calibrate equipment.
You will provide lab support to field staff, providing timely and accurate analysis of samples and feedback to sites and management. It will also involve supervising a small team of casual staff during the harvest period.
This role might suit someone looking to build on their laboratory experience, whilst working for a large global organization. You will enjoy working autonomously and have flexibility to travel during peak times for verification activities. Key Accountabilities

Ensure all grain samples received at the Central Lab are analysed with a high level of accuracy
Perform the verification services of laboratory equipment at Grain receival sites for both internal & external clients to ensure compliance as per regulatory requirements.
Conduct/contribute to Cargill’s Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
Assist/conduct sampler training on grain sampling techniques and procedures Skills & Experience
3 years+ experience in a laboratory environment ideally working with grains or food Ability to provide leadership and coordination of quality efforts across the team Ability to collaborate and work efficiently in a team environment Science Degree will be highly regarded, and a Chemical or Agricultural background advantageous Statement of Attainment with NMI (Trade Measurement Verification) - advantageous
