We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Operational Improvement Business Partner in our head office, on a 2 year Max Term basis.


About this role


 

As the Operational Improvement Business Partner, you will be required to:

  • Be accountable for the development, designing, management and improvement of end-to-end business operational process optimisation to achieve operational efficiency and improvements
  • Identify areas of safety exposure and recommend and highlight strategies to minimise exposure
  • Work with functions to provide business process modelling expertise and continuous improvement capabilities for existing processes
  • Translate business demand requirements into optimal processes through the use of multiple process / business improvement models to fit the required purpose
  • Consistently achieve benefits realisation in line with project objectives across the business
  • Be responsible for providing guidance to the business on Western Power on identifying potential efficiency opportunities and how these can be best delivered
  • Develop and maintaining effective “value” relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Use multiple process / business improvement models to fit the purpose and outcomes required
  • Align projects and initiatives with organisation wide change program


About you


 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Engineering or project management related discipline
  • Strong project management experience and process improvement skills and techniques
  • Proven Success in supporting organisational and culture change in complex environments
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical reasoning to bring about change in behaviours
  • Demonstrates ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
  • Innovative and creative problem solving as well as the ability to drive performance targets to completion skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
  • Have relevant Utility/ industry experience, skills and knowledge
  • Sound and demonstrated experience in the application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology and demonstrated outcomes
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework in which a Utility operates and the direct link between business decisions and regulatory outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple industries with a commercial approach to deliver program solutions that support business strategies
  • Post graduate qualification / MBA / Project Management etc. (desirable)
